About me

My name is Alberto Martínez, I was born in Almendralejo (Extremadura, Spain) in 1986 and I am a professional baritone singer and performer based in the city of Antwerp (Belgium). I studied flute and singing at the Conservatorio Superior de Castilla y León (Salamanca), received a master in opera performance at the Conservatorio "Joaquín Rodrigo" (Valencia) and attended a two-year postgraduate course at the International Opera Academy in Ghent.

My repertoire includes opera, zarzuela and oratorio roles with a special interest in baroque and contemporary music, as well as a large collection of German, French, Italian, English and Spanish chamber music and art songs. I also have several experience in ensamble singing, symphonic and opera choir; since the season 22/23 I'm a fix member of the Vlaams Radio Koor .
Among others, I studied with David Menéndez, Javier San Miguel, Gary Jankowski, Deborah Polaski, Ofelia Sala and Dietrich Henschel. To know more about me and my career you can read my BIOGRAPHY.
